One way I’ve gotten to Know Thyself better is by understanding how Astrology really has influence on my life, my purpose, my destiny and my career. I started my journey with Astrology back in the Spring of 2015 (as I was in the middle of the divorce). The divorce made me lost and confused and my career was in shambles. I remembered a book I read years before called “Sacred Contracts” by Caroline Myss which says before we were born we were together with The Divine and we co-created our lives and our purpose from birth to death.

(Yes, life is no accident. It’s all planned out before we are born!)

According to Sacred Contracts, after our whole life is all planned out together with The Divine, The Divine then asks us if we agree to live our lives according to plan and to learn all of the lessons (sacred contracts) as we just designed and co-created for ourselves as well as all the others we will meet along the way. Once we agree, we then are taken to drink from The Mystical River of Forgetfulness and by drinking its ethereal waters, we magically forget everything about the life we just planned out for ourselves. We are then conceived and nine months later we are born into this Earthly realm. This means my life and everyone else’s life has been pre-planned and we all probably have had multiple past lives over time, unless we are a new soul. According to many Astrologers, I am an old soul.

Every decision we make, every friend we make, every person we meet or pass by on the street or see out our window as we’re driving in a car, every bird we see in a tree, in the grass or in the air, our parents, siblings, relatives, friends and neighbors have all been agreed for us to meet and communicate with. Even all of the movies or television shows we’ve watched or will watch as well as all of the live concerts we will see and have seen.

Every song we chose to hear and sing, all the food we’ve chosen to eat, every dream we we ever have, every step we ever take, every car we choose to pass, every kiss we ever took, every lie we ever told, every heart we chose to break, every breath we chose to take, everything, yes everything has all been pre-chosen by all of us and Divinity before we were born and now we are living our lives exactly as we are, exactly as planned.

Most people do not remember anything about how we all are co-creators of our own reality. Here is a simple exercise: Try to remember as many coincidences One has had. How does One explain these coincidences without considering The Divine and His part in all of this? Has One had any De Javu’s? How about dreaming of someone and then suddenly one day (maybe the same day) meeting them in real life? Or what about knowing what someone is about to say or even saying the same words or phrase at the same time in synchronicity? When One goes within on a regular basis One can make this sort of thing a reality. Don’t believe me? How does One explain this (it happened to me yesterday):

Yesterday, after my morning prayer and meditation ritual, I was wondering about how I could get my friend quickly connected to The Divine. Then I thought of telling him about searching for Guided Meditations on YouTube.

What better way than to introduce him to the world of ‘Guided Meditations’. Then, I wondered about how my first guided meditation was live, in person at a healing and meditation center and It would be nice if my friend could have his first guided meditation live before he went on YouTube to experience it. I then thought, “Nah, it’s okay, most people never experience live guided meditations, the YouTube guided meditations should be just fine.” Little did I know, Divinity was soon going to prove me wrong!

I then got on with the rest of my morning and went to finish my 3 week long, Chiron, The Wounded Healer Astrology class I was taking online with AstroButterfly. My very last video module was on verses from Rumi, the Sufi poet and the class had a Rumi poem connected to each of the 12 Houses Chiron could be in One’s natal birth chart.

The 12th House ended with a song based on a Rumi poem. It was performed very lovely by the Love Keys called “Come, Whoever You Are”, it was so powerful it brought tears to my eyes (because I have a long history of being a sinner.) Give it a listen! After finishing my last Chiron module of Rumi quotes, I went to open my email. At the top of the email thread I saw a new email which was promoting two events for that day. One event was for 7:30pm that night and it was a Live Guided Meditation called ‘Waqar Faiz Sufi Meditation, in Chicago’. It was going to be at a Yoga Studio in Wrigleyville. Wow!

Rumi was a Sufi poet and this was a ‘Guided Sufi Meditation‘ via the lens of a Sufi Master, Waqar Faiz. Talk about coincidences! It was exactly what I was asking for!

How does this happen? Well, Divinity loves me as He loves us all, too and most of all, if One can remember how all of this started, I wondered.

Wonderful things happen when we wonder!

I immediately signed up for a free ticket for myself and then called my friend and he got one, too!

After the meditation they gave us both a free book. My friend really enjoyed the Sufi Guided Meditation and this morning after I talked with him he had already found and listened to his first Guided Meditation on YouTube from Calm.

Life is Good.

This book is amazing! I skimmed through most of it after the mediation. My gut told me to give them a copy of my poetry and short fiction book, ‘Waterslide Time Machine Portals, Book Alpha‘ so, I went to my car and gave a copy to Maaz, a spiritual guide I was talking with after the meditation.

Oh yeah, when the second meditation was over we had a brief discussion. After Omair, the main spiritual guide, heard me explain what went on during my second meditation, he told me something I already knew, he said: “John, sounds like you’re on the right path.”

He’s right. I know I’m on the right path. In the meditation, I was repeating a mantra he gave us and imagined a large body of water -Lake Michigan. I used to live on the lake and in the morning, I would sometimes go to the shore and pray, meditate and gaze at the Sun…

So, I imagined the body of water. In my meditation. At first, I had my shoes on and wondered why, so they instantly disappeared. I then approached the water with my bare feet. As I was breathing out, the water was gently passing over my feet in the sand and as I was breathing in the water was receding. In short, Omair told me this was the proper way to commune with the spiritual side of myself. Yes, water is a symbol for spirituality. He basically said I know how to communicate with Divinity. This was no surprise to me, however it was nice to hear it from a fellow spiritual soul.

This is why I have this website, this is why I wrote my book, this is why I started my YouTube channel and this is why I’m also offering Astrology readings:

The reason I’m doing all of this is because I’m on the right path which Divinity has put me on.

Astrology is a huge reason I have found my path. This is why I desire to share what I know with others and help them on their path. The book Maaz gave me says many wonderful and spiritual truths. In fact, it calls God “Divinity” and “The Divine” and speaks with words as I do, such as calling people “One”. Going to this spiritual Guided Meditation proved once again to me Divinity is in control of everything. It showed me that I follow The Divine, I’m not alone and best of all my friend was a witness to this all. I feel this is what he may have needed to witness. Has One noticed how I became attuned and connected to The Divine? Here’s a hint, I’ll say it again:

I wondered.

When One wonders on a daily basis, One allows Divinity to do His thing!

Divinity really nailed it. It hit another home run for me yesterday, all because I wondered about something. Yes, this is magical (mystical/spiritual). If One desires for Divinity to help One manifest a better path, One must first go within and connect to The Divine. Only then will the magic begin. If One is living in a sinful nature, manifestation tends to get blocked. The more virtuous One becomes, the more Divinity will get One to where One needs to be. Yes, it takes work and righteous action. Reading spiritual books such as Sacred Contracts helps tremendously to get One on the right path. The best advice I can give others is to always be kind to One’s self.

It’s really just One step at a time.

By reading One’s ‘Natal Chart’ One can easily see what One is made up of and what One’s Destiny is. Yes, I know, it is very exciting!

I was looking for my Life’s Purpose and Astrology helped me discover who I truly was because when Divinity was planning my life with me, the stars in the sky were a huge part of my destiny and how my life will unfold from birth to death.

As the stars move in the sky from my birth to my death determine how Divinity helps guide me to the next right thing. The Darkness is only there to tell us when we’re off course and when we choose to do the proper thing and go back towards the virtuous light, Divinity rewards us with the proper lessons and results based on the actions we’ve chosen to take.

When I am fiddling around listening to what The Darkness suggests, I simply get off course...

When I Know Thyself better, I get off course less and less and do not fumble with living in Sin and being influenced by The Darkness. It’s about choosing to be living in Paradise or living in Hell.

This is why I named my website: RestoringOurWorldToParadise.com. I do not like choosing to live in Hell, absent from Divinity, I want to choose a life in Paradise, living with The Divine! This is why I needed to learn my lessons from choosing to have lived a Sinful Life when I was younger.

All of the lessons we will learn have already been approved by us and Divinity.

So, how can I have chosen the marriage and the divorce? I looked for clues...

Years before I met my ex wife, my mom told me I was born at 11:30am in the morning. I put this in a Birth chart calculator and it spit out I was a ‘Scorpio Rising‘. I read up on Scorpio Risings and after reading about stuff which didn’t make much sense to me and my disposition, I decided this Astrology thing is not for me.

(Now, do not get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being a Scorpio Rising, they can be very analytical, love to get to the bottom of things and they can be very spiritual. However, I was not designed to be a Scorpio Rising, this is what I did not like about the description, it was not describing me, it was describing someone else. A Scorpio Rising would get the same reaction if someone described them as a Virgo Rising. Get it?)

After the municipal (court/legal) divorce, I needed to get a copy of my birth certificate for the church divorce.

I looked in my file cabinet and found my Birth Certificate which stated I was born at 7:28am, not 11:30am like my mom told me.

(80% of the time mom’s are wrong about One’s Time of Birth (think about it, there is so much going on when giving birth, how the heck are mom’s suppose to remember such a detail as the exact time of birth?))

If someone does not know One’s time of birth the best and easiest thing to do is simply order a long form birth certificate, it usually has the time of birth (it costs around $50 and it usually takes about 4-6 weeks to arrive if all the information is put in correctly. Reach out to the hospital where One was born is the best bet.

After putting this time of birth in a Birth Chart calculator, I came up as a Virgo Rising.

I read multiple books on the subject, did lots of internet searches as well as watched multiple YouTube videos and I was amazed at how accurate each description was.

I looked into my Birth Chart Placements by looking up my chart by going to Astro.com, here’s a link for creating One’s Birth Chart:

after One clicks on the link, create a user profile with One’s Birth Details and then follow these three easy steps:

1) Register One’s profile with Astro.com

2) Select Chart Type: ‘Natal Chart Wheel’ (it’s the default). For Chart Drawing Style pick ‘Web default style’ (it’s also the default). Start date, pick today (it’s also the default). Then go below to ‘Zodiac & Houses’ and then select ‘Whole Signs’ (Whole Signs is thousands of years old and was developed in the Hellenistic tradition of astrology sometime around the 1st or 2nd century BC. Whole Signs House System is the original House System of Astrology as well as the most simplest, most easiest and most accurate House System to use) then click ‘Show the Chart’ (Leave the default settings as ‘Tropical’ and ‘Geocentric’)

3) The next window will show One their Birth Chart! Look for One’s Sun, Moon and Rising placements first to start. (If One clicks on the actual chart, One can download the chart to One’s phone or computer.)

When One looks at the ‘pie chart’, look at which section is marked with the number 1, (it’s at 9 o’clock) this is the Rising sign, also known as the Ascendant. Also, One can look at the table beneath the chart and One can see One’s Rising Sign by looking for the letters AC which stands for Ascendant.

After I generated my Birth chart, I looked into some other Astrology books I came across:

…as well as watched many YouTube videos, too. With YouTube, for instance, I have one Birth Chart placement of Mars in Leo in the 12th House.

I then simply began searching for ‘Mars in Leo’ and ‘Mars in the 12th House’ and watched several videos on the subject. Over the months and years, I came to get a better understanding of the make up of my entire Birth Chart.

A Birth Chart shows One where the planets above were when One was born and how they correspond to different areas of One’s life (Houses) such as One’s Personality & Self-expression (First House), Relationships With Others & Sacred Contracts (7th House) or Career, Reputation & Status (10th House).

How I understand it is, the planets above work like WiFi signals, sending down messages to us from the Divine to guide us each day.

Each area of the sky is ruled by a particular astrological sign (i.e., Aries, Leo, Libra, etc.) and each sign rotates and changes every two hours during each day and night (this determines our Rising Sign in our Birth Chart). It works like a clock.

The planets are also in different signs, too. For instance, the Moon changes signs about every two and a half days and this affects a different area of our life (House).

The Sun changes signs about every 30 days (a month).

Jupiter changes signs every 12 months (a year), etc,.. 

So, we’re getting different signals sent to us all of the time. These signals are messages from the Divine, guiding us or ‘nudging us’ to do the next right thing.

For instance, Mercury rules our thoughts and communication.

Each planet is happiest and functions the best in different signs. Mercury, for instance, enjoys being in Gemini (Domicile) or Virgo (Domicile & Exaltation) better than any other sign placement (it expresses itself the easiest and is at its best in these two signs). When Mercury is in Sagittarius, it is in what’s called Detriment (a creative solution and some extra effort needs to take place on One’s part to make One’s communication more effective with others (in other words its a challenging placement for Mercury to be, it takes more work in a creative way to express it better)).

Because different planets act differently in different signs it can be challenging to understand one’s placements in One’s own Birth Chart. The same goes for planets being in different Houses. This is where a Professional Astrology Destiny & Career Reading may be helpful in understanding One’s personal chart better.

Even though I got a good understanding of my Birth Chart via these methods, it wasn’t until I actually started getting Birth Chart Readings from my favorite YouTube astrologers that I was then able to get a much better understanding of my Birth Chart and how it all flowed together. Having a Professional Astrologer give me a Birth Chart Reading gave my chart a more holistic view.

A Professional Astrologer can give One a better evaluation of things as they are because they can look at the chart as a whole instead of looking at it as just a bunch of parts, pieces and placements to understand. For example, I was told by a Professional Astrologer (who used my 2nd, 6th and 10th House, along with my Sun and North Node placements to come up with my Destiny and Career Reading) I can make my money through having relationships with people because I have Libra (a social sign and an air sign) in my Second House of Talents Resources & Personal Values and my Sun in Virgo along with six other planets, which form a 7 planet stellium:

(consisting of Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Pluto and Uranus) in my First House of Identity, Personality & Self Expression in Virgo, which means my First House (my Personality) can play a big role in my career and who I am as a person.

My North Node is in Aries in my Eighth House along with Saturn(r) (My Results) and Chiron (My Core Wound/Gift).

This means my Destiny (North Node) involves the Transformation of Self & Others (which also involves making money by helping others with their resources (I was managing my mom’s apartment buildings since 1990 and she just passed away in June of 2023) in an Aries type of way (independent, dynamic, action oriented and confident).

By looking at One’s Sun, North Node and 2nd, 6th and 10th House placements, I can help One get a better understanding of what type of career One is best suited for in One’s ‘Destiny & Career Reading’.

Here’s more about how my placements and getting a holistic view helped me understand my path: I used to be an Outside Salesperson for a Dealership of ADT and I would knock on about a hundred doors a day for three solid years. I was paid a hundred percent commission, which means I only got paid for whatever I sold.

So, I got real good, real quick, at convincing people to let me into their homes!

I couldn’t have done this without having a decent, earthy, friendly and service oriented personality (Virgo First House) and successfully being able to build relationships with other people and networking (I also built relationships with Insurance Agents because each alarm system came with a 10-15% Homeowners Insurance discount -many Insurance agents gave me referrals from their clients I put alarm systems in) (Libra Second House), having an unconventional job where I am autonomous and have a different, unusual and flexible routine (Aquarius 6th House), being assertive, trailblazing and pioneering in my ways of hunting for new prospects daily (knocking on about 100 doors a day), Saturn(r), North Node and Chiron (sharing my core wounds with others to be able to win them over), (Aries 8th House) and finally having two careers (Gemini the twins) (I also managed my mom’s properties since 1990 and had another flexible career which usually involved being some kind of salesperson)

which involved having multiple skillful, proper and fun conversations with people of all kinds (Gemini 10th House), just like my Birth Chart says when One reads it holistically.

When One looks at One’s Birth Chart, some of the Houses may have no planets in them. This is because One does not need much help in that House or area of One’s life and this area of One’s life is not accented.

When we have a planet or many planets in One’s House this means The Divine put these planets there to give us a ‘Boost” and to help us succeed better in this area of life (House).

Planets can be in a different House and depending on how many houses apart they are from each other will give One’s aspects or angles. Aspects are how each planet ‘talks’ or ‘communicates’ to each other.

Some planets get along very nicely, have easy communication with each other and support each other well (these are trines and sextiles). While some other planets need more creative ways of communicating with each other and are considered more challenging aspects (squares and oppositions). I will analyze One’s Birth Chart and let One know the most relevant aspects and aspect patterns One has in One’s Birth Chart.

When One gets a ‘Destiny & Career Reading’, One will get a better understanding of how One feels, thinks, desires, acts, believes and how One goes about getting One’s results. Like the saying goes: “It’s all in the stars”. The planets above give us our make up and help us to understand how we operate.

By understanding how we operate (understanding and getting to know the owner’s manual by understanding our Birth Chart placements), One become’s better able to make decisions which make sense and are better aligned as to how we were made to operate.

This is why when we get advice from a variety of people, most of the time we need to dismiss most of the advice because only some of it may actually sound good (be in alignment with our Birth Chart, our true nature). Many people give bad advice because they project themselves onto us.

We therefore are better able to see a direction which is more properly aligned with where we’re meant to be going. It makes One more confident about where One already is and more confident about deciding where to go next. The result is making decisions which cause less friction and which will make our lives and the direction we want to take more easier. It gets One into a flow state of being.

It took me years of figuring out and getting to know my Birth Chart in a way it made sense to me. When I had a Professional Astrologer give me a proper reading, my Natal chart became more clear to me. Why take years of researching each Birth Chart placement of One’s own Birth Chart as a bunch of pieces and parts? Why not get to know One’s Birth Chart as a whole?

Jupiter enters my Gemini 10th House of Career, Reputation and Status on May, 25th of 2024.

Last year, when Jupiter went into Taurus and began to travel through my 9th House is when I eventually started my YouTube channel, RealityWithin, revamped this website, restoringourworldtoparadise.com (Publishing) and began to take my Astrology classes (Higher Learning). In the first week of May of 2024, I’m taking a 25 day trip to Greece (Long Distance Travel) with the possibility of moving there for good in about 2025.

This is a great example of how transiting planets can affect us in a personal way. My 26 day trip to Greece was truly amazing. I’m making plans to go back this summer and plan to make Greece my home in the near future.

In January of 2025, I rebranded Reality Within and now call my YouTube channel: “Know Thyself Right Now!”. I did this because since I’ve been on my own Know Thyself Journey for over 30 years, I’d like to help get others on their own Know Thyself Journeys!
